Introduction to the Surveyor's Role

Responsibilities

The surveyor's role within Flow360 includes these areas:

  •     undertaking initial site surveys and entering resource information    
  •     setting up standard tasks for clients and sites
  •     making decisions as to which maintenance tasks are required
  •     setting priorities for maintenance tasks
  •     setting up options for maintenance tasks
  •     entering initial survey data about client's sites
  •     scheduling maintenance tasks
  •     inspecting works and agreeing sign-off
  •     notifying service providers when works are not up to standard

Relationships

The surveyor has relationships within Flow360 to:

Clients
    - when a client assigns a surveyor as a surveyor for their site/s
    - the client relationship controls which site data the surveyor has access to. The surveyor can only access data relating to sites that are the responsibility of clients that the surveyor has an established relationship with.

Managers
    - when a manager assigns sign-off responsibilities to a surveyor
    - the manager relationship controls which works data the surveyor has access to. The surveyor can only access data relating to works where the surveyor is an assigned surveyor.

Service providers
    - when service providers receive works enquiries or orders for works where the surveyor is an assigned surveyor.

Helpdesk managers and operators
    - running helpdesk services for sites where the surveyor is an assigned surveyor.

Occupiers
    - when the surveyor schedules work in an area that the occupier uses when the surveyor is an assigned surveyor for works that are scheduled in an area that the occupier uses
