Customising existing inspection forms

How does customising work?

Some forms have customisable labels. This allows you to customise the labels:

  • when you add the form linked to a standard (user defined) task
  • when you add the form to a scheduled task

Examples:

  1. You create a user defined standard task to undertake a building safety inspection and link the building inspection form to the standard task. The form labels can be customised on the standard tasks record on the form tab. When you schedule this standard for a specific resource or object the labels used will be those that you add to the standard task. However, the labels can then be further edited if required to suit the specific instance of the task for the resource or object it is now linked to.
  2. You add a quick action task to a resource or object. The labels of the form can be edited if required to suit the specific instance of the task for the resource or object it is now linked to.

Once the task is added to a works order the labels are fixed and cannot be further edited by the person undertaking the task.

Customisable form on a standard task

The form labels on the left can be edited as required. The edited labels will be used for all scheduling of this standard task and can be edited further once scheduled for a specific resource or object.

Customisable form on a scheduled task

The form labels on the left can be edited as required. The edited labels will be used for all executions of this task.

NOTE: If you add the task to an order that is then set to auto repeat a new instance of the form will be added for each repetition of the order. You can modify the labels in between repeats and the modified form will be used for the next repeat.
